Mr. Project's Project Day

When we were driving down to Florida, we had some really good conversations. We were talking about our annual trip to Florida and Greg was describing to me some of the reasons this trip is so special to him. One of the things he mentioned is "there is always a project or two to work on." As an engineer, he enjoys the challenge of figuring out a problem and then finding a solution.

Be careful what you wish for!

As most of you know, we keep saying this is this motor home's "last journey." We aren't putting in more money into fixes . . . .

However, two nights ago, we noticed some leaking on the floor around the toilet. Okay, I don't care what you say, we can't go without the toilet for a month — so it was going to require a fix!
My favorite engineer did some research on the problem and watched a few YouTube videos by other "do it yourselfers."

After making several calls to RV stores (believe me, there are a lot of them in Florida), we went to get a new water valve replacement part.

Next step was to remove the toilet and work on cleaning it up and replacing the valve. This took several hours this afternoon.

Three hours later — good as new!

Even Greg (Mr. Project) said, "Hopefully that's the last project for awhile!"

  1. Greg,
If you run out of projects or get bored our boat isn't far away and it has plenty.
