Our campground is on the barrier island facing the Indian River Lagoon, the body of water between the main land and the barrier island. It is just a short bike ride out of the campground to a great bike path that leads to all the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. So, we've been packing up the bike trailer each day with our umbrella (for protection from the wind and sun), beach chairs, and heading out to the trail to explore the beaches.
One of the days, we stopped at Golden Sands Park which is about 7 miles down the bike path from the campsite.
The beaches have been very windy!
The warning flags each day have indicated "High Hazard" (riptides) and "Dangerous Marine Life" (Man-of-War jelly fish) — so obviously, we aren't doing any swimming in the water at this point.
The wind conditions have really stirred up the surf and there are big crashing waves.
Once again, other than just a few surf fisherman, the beaches have been really empty.

We've enjoyed our days watching the waves, walking on the beach, reading, and just thinking! Note Greg reflecting on life below.
Tomorrow we're leaving Sebastian Inlet State Park and heading north to St. Augustine. We will stay one night in a state park that was highly recommended by our camping "next door neighbors."
